After a period of complete ban on events from March 16, 2020, we are pleased to announce that we are back after all events being permitted (with recommended precautions) from 29th June, 2020.
To kick our events off here in Dar es Salaam we will have a live performance by the Pentanote Trio accompanied by guest musician, guitarist Emma Mopao.
Mopao is well known for his Mopao Swahili Jazz Ensembles, also featuring the Pentanote Trio keyboard player, Barikeyz Mmbaga. Another Mopao Swahili Jazz alum and brother to barikeyz, John, will be on the drums and John Kagaruki will be up to his usual jam session shenanigans on the bass guitar and vocals.
This will be on Saturday, July 4th, American Independence Day, at the Hamu restaurant on Haile Selaisse Rd, Osyterbay, Dar es Salaam.
Only 70 tickets are available for this exclusive event due to restrictions still in place and recommendations by authorities with regards to the pandemic and these will only be sold electronically and in advance on a first come, first served basis.
The performance starts at 9:00pm sharp and ends at 11:30pm with a break in between and there will be time after to enjoy each others company to the background of smooth jazz and soul tunes from a playlist.
